Christopher Ransom is an experienced horticulturist currently working at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, specializing in the Japanese Garden since May 2023. Previous roles include serving as a groundskeeper at the same garden, where traditional and contemporary gardening techniques were utilized. Prior to this, Christopher was a soccer coach at Soccer Shots Franchising and worked as a Forestry Technician (Wildland Firefighter) for the U.S. Forest Service, with significant roles across various ranger districts and recognition as Firefighter of the Year in 2020. An education background includes a Graduate Certificate in Horticulture from the University of Guelph, a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Mississippi, ongoing studies in the EMT Program at UCLA, and a foundation in honors education from Southwest Christian School. Additionally, Christopher attended the North American Japanese Garden Association Regional Conference.
