James Stocken has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on business development and licensing. James is currently working as the Senior Director of Business Development at Formycon AG. Prior to this, they held various positions at Sandoz, including Director of Global Business Development and Licensing. James also worked at Aspen Pharma Group as the Group Business Development and Portfolio Lead and at Clicks Group as a Medicine Portfolio Manager. James started their career at Johnson & Johnson as an Intern Pharmacist.

From 2004 to 2007, James attended the University of the Western Cape, where they earned a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree with a focus on Pharmacy.

Following that, they pursued further studies at North-West University / Noordwes-Universiteit from 2011 to 2014, obtaining a BSc (Hons) degree in Clinical Pharmacology.

In the years 2013 to 2016, James enrolled at Hibernia College and completed a Master of Science (MSc) program in Pharmaceutical Medicine.

Lastly, from 2016 to 2017, James earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Stellenbosch University. Nevertheless, the specific field of study for this degree was not provided.
