Thommy Cao started their work experience in 2013 as a Physician Assistant at BLUEBONNET FAMILY CLINIC, LLC. Thommy provided administrative and technical support within the medical clinic, managing medical records, scheduling appointments, and troubleshooting computer and medical equipment issues. Thommy also studied under a general physician during this time.

In 2021, Thommy Cao joined Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. as an Operations Engineer. In this role, they programmed and developed screens on Emerson DeltaV and Ovation systems. Thommy gained experience in upgrading these systems on both software and hardware levels, and also worked with SCADA, alarm management, compressed air, turbine, and waste water treatment systems.

Thommy Cao completed a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science (Pre-Medicine) at Louisiana State University from 2010 to 2014. Thommy then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the same university from 2015 to 2019.
