Alireza Bandegi has a work experience that includes a role as a Product Development Engineer at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Case Western Reserve University from September 2021 to June 2023. During their time as a Postdoctoral Researcher, they developed project management skills and worked on multiple projects focused on recycling thermoset wastes. Alireza organized meetings, set project goals, and ensured timely completion of tasks.

Alireza Bandegi earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iran University of Science and Technology in 2013. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Polymer/Plastics Engineering at the same institution from 2013 to 2016. Alireza then went on to enroll in New Mexico State University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering in the years 2016 to 2021.
