Matthew Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Matthew started their career as a Branch Manager at Fastenal company from 2005 to 2009, where they managed branch operations and drove sales growth. Following this, they worked as an Account Manager/Sales at SABIC Innovative Plastics from 2009 to 2013, focusing on analyzing sales strategies, handling difficult customer issues, and negotiating with vendors. Matthew then joined Avient Corporation in 2013 as a Senior Account Manager until 2018. Matthew later became an Area Sales Manager from 2018 to 2022, responsible for managing sales and territories in the Mid-Atlantic region. Most recently, Matthew joined Formerra in 2022 as a District Sales Manager.

Matthew Smith attended East Carolina University from 2002 to 2007. Matthew received a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Distribution with a Business Administration Minor. Their field of study was focused on Industrial Distribution and Logistics.
