Shelley Fluke has over a decade of professional experience. From 2008 to 2010, they were a Sales Associate at Alpine Ski Center, where they exceeded sales goals and heightened customer satisfaction. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Hospitality and Development Specialist at Sparians, where they assisted in the development and branding of a 30,000 sq. foot hybrid entertainment center. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Deckhand/Stewardess on various motor yachts, where they learned the exterior and interior operations of super yachts. From 2013 to 2015, they were a First Mate/Dive Instructor on Motor Yacht Codene, where they navigated the yacht, planned passages, and guided 100+ dives. From 2015 to 2018, they were a Second Officer on Motor Yacht Hampshire and a Seasonal Bosun on Motor Yacht Excellence, where they researched, planned, and safely navigated the yacht and instructed up to 10 guests on the use of the yacht's toys. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Reciprocity, Inc as an Associate Product Designer, Product Designer, and Product Implementation Expert. Finally, from 2021 to 2022, they were a Product Designer at FormAssembly and a Yoga Instructor at Outer Banks Yoga.

Shelley Fluke obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Shelley also holds a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor & Emergency First Response Instructor certification from Eastern Academy of Scuba Education, and a RYA Yachtmaster Offshore 200T Captain's License (commercially endorsed) from Maritime Professional Training.
