David Chapman serves as an Associate Professor in City & Regional Planning at the University of Stavanger since September 2021, while also holding the position of Associate Senior Lecturer in Architecture and Urban Design at Luleå University of Technology since 2013. David's involvement includes representing LTU on the Executive Committee for the Arctic Five, contributing to collaborative Arctic research initiatives. David completed a PhD in Architecture, focusing on the urban design of winter cities, and has engaged extensively in editorial roles with academic journals. David's ongoing research includes significant projects on sustainable living environments and soft mobility, backed by various Swedish research grants. Educational qualifications encompass a Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture from Luleå University of Technology, a Master of Philosophy from UCL, a Master of Architecture from The Glasgow School of Art, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from The University of Huddersfield.
