James Newell is a highly experienced software engineer with a background in mortgage analytics and trading systems. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at Forge since September 2023, James has previously worked at JPMorgan Chase from June 2013 to August 2022 as a Software Engineer. Earlier career roles include Software Engineer positions at Nomura Securities and Barclays Capital, as well as an Assistant Vice President role at Lehman Brothers, where James contributed to the development of relevant software systems. James holds an MBA from NYU Stern School of Business and advanced degrees in Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and Northwestern University.
