Christopher Payne is an Associate Veterinarian at Forever Vets Animal Hospital since July 2021, previously serving as a Technician Assistant at Family Animal Medicine from June 2016 to January 2020, where responsibilities included caring for animals in boarding facilities. Christopher gained practical experience in aquatic animal medicine through the AQUAVET graduate program and has volunteered at various veterinary practices, shadowing multiple surgical procedures. Research experience includes a position as an NSF REU Fellow at the University of Texas Marine Science Institute, focused on the effects of oil and chemical dispersants on Gulf of Mexico plankton. Christopher holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in Marine Sciences from Boston University.
