Tristram Hilborn serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Forestry England since November 2019, overseeing operational delivery across a vast estate of 1,500 forests totaling 250,000 hectares and actively contributing to the Forestry England Board. Additionally, Tristram holds positions as Non Executive Director and Vice Chair at Broads Authority, where leadership of the Audit and Risk committee is key, and as Board Trustee at Tree Aid, chairing the Finance and Audit Committee. Previously, Tristram dedicated 18 years to the Forestry Commission, advancing from roles including Forest Management Director, where responsibilities included managing a 35,000 hectare public forest estate and leading significant investment initiatives, to various positions focused on recreation, community forestry, and policy advisory roles. Tristram's educational background includes an MBA from Bayes Business School and participation in The Prince of Wales’s Business & Sustainability Programme at the University of Cambridge.
