Maggie Whitacre currently serves as a 7th Grade Social Studies and 21st Century Communication Teacher at Forest Lake Area Schools since August 2022, bringing extensive experience from previous roles, including a similar position at The Manning School from August 2018 to July 2022 and at Denver Discovery School from August 2016 to May 2018. Prior to their teaching career, Maggie worked in various roles such as an Inside Sales representative at Thomson Reuters Westlaw, where notable accomplishments included increasing sales and customer retention, and as a Lifeguard and Swim Instructor at YMCA, ensuring the safety and skill development of children. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Northwestern University and a Bachelor's Degree in Communications/Journalism and History from the University of St. Thomas. Maggie has also gained practical experience through positions such as a Public Relations Intern at the Minnesota Historical Society and as a reporter for Tommie Media.
