James Kocur is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in electrical design and application engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer at Forest Electric Co. since October 2013, Kocur is responsible for the design and development of dry type and water cooled transformers, chokes, and coils. Previously, Kocur held the position of Senior Application Engineer at G&W Electric Co., where responsibilities included analyzing project specifications and leading detailed quotations. An earlier role as an Application Engineer at ASCO Services involved designing switchgear and control upgrades, while Kocur's tenure at Advance Transformer focused on design for lighting circuitry. Kocur began the engineering career as an Electrical Engineer at First Alert and served as an Electrical Supervisor at US Steel. Kocur holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Purdue University.
