Dr. Cristina Serrano, MBA, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Dr. Cristina is currently the Chief Executive Officer at Avida Hospice LLC, a company they founded in 2019 to provide quality comfort care at the end of life's journey.
Prior to this, Dr. Serrano was the Owner/Member of CS Financial Services, LLC, a position they held since 2009.
From 2010, they served as the Vice President of Business Development at Foresight Intelligence, an international business intelligence software company focused on giving organizations a competitive advantage through unparalleled visibility.
In 2009, they were the President of the Arizona Chapter at BPM Ins, and from 2008 to 2009, they worked as the Accounts Receivable (A/R) Manager and Business Process Management at JDA Software. In this role, they executed process improvements to obtain the best return on investment and was instrumental in managing the company's record days sales outstanding equating to $11 million cash inflow.
From 2007 to 2008, Dr. Serrano held the position of Director of Financial Analysis at Marathon Asset Management-Marix Servicing Div.
Dr. Cristina also worked at CSK Auto/O'Reilly Auto Parts from 2001 to 2007, holding various positions including Sr. Business Process Analyst, SEC Reporting Manager, and Manager of Accounting Controls.
Earlier in their career, they worked at Honeywell as a GL and Travel Expense/Sr. Financial Analyst from 1998 to 2001, where they audited balance sheet accounts, implemented Oracle upgrades, and successfully managed month-end closing processes.
Additionally, they gained consultancy experience at Ernst & Young from 1997 to 1998 and served as a Payroll Systems Analyst (Intern) at IBM in 1996.
Dr. Cristina Serrano, MBA, PhD received their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a focus on Accounting from the University of Arizona in the years 1995 to 1997. Dr. Cristina then pursued further education at the University of Phoenix, where they obtained their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from 2000 to 2005. Dr. Serrano continued their academic journey at Grand Canyon University, where they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Industrial and Organizational Psychology between 2013 and 2019.
