Elzemiek Rensen currently serves as a member of the Supervisory Committee at Forensisch centrum Teylingereind and as a scientific staff member at Hoge Raad der Nederlanden since February 2018. Rensen has previously held the position of senior legal staff member at Openbaar Ministerie, focusing on the modernization of the Dutch Code of Criminal Procedure from June 2022 to May 2023. Academic experience includes teaching criminal law and criminal procedure at Universiteit Leiden, along with previous roles at various legal institutions, including Openbaar Ministerie and Rechtbank Alkmaar. Elzemiek Rensen holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Leiden University and completed secondary education at Bonhoeffer College Castricum.
