Timothy Fitzgerald has worked in the energy and environmental sector since 1989. Timothy began their career as an Energy and Environmental Advisor at Argonne National Laboratory and Beta Corporation International. From 1997 to 2011, they held multiple senior leadership positions at IHS Cambridge Energy Research Associates, focusing on C-level corporate strategy and commercializing data and insights on future market, political and technology trends. From 2011 to 2015, they were the Managing Director of Viant Green Capital, a financial advisory firm focused on early stage technology companies, with an emphasis on green and distributed solutions. Since 2015, they have been the CEO of ForeLight, Inc., a bio-manufacturer of naturally derived replacements for synthetic ingredients used in the food & beverage, animal feed, health and cosmetic industries.
Timothy Fitzgerald has a diverse educational background, beginning with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in 1985 from Colorado College. Timothy then attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for a General Course in 1984. In 1991, they earned a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Economics/International Relations from The Johns Hopkins University - Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). More recently, they have been attending Harvard Business School for Executive Education in Finance since 2007.
