Robert Gale has worked in the food and beverage industry since 1989. Robert's most recent role is Director of Product Development at ForeLight, Inc., which they have held since 2018. Prior to this, they were Principal Scientist, Culinary Materials Development at 3DSystems from 2014-2018. During this time, they were responsible for managing all aspects of materials development for 3DSystems Culinary Program and designed and oversaw construction of 3D Systems first food laboratory. Robert also successfully developed binder and powder materials for Brill 3D Culinary Studio Printer. From 1997-2014, they were Senior Research Scientist II at Welch's, where they managed International product development activities, was a technical lead for setting up international co-packer/partner relationships, and explored emerging ingredient technologies. From 1996-1997, they were Senior Scientist at Mead Johnson Nutrition, and from 1995-1996, they were Manager of R&D at Slim Fast. Robert's first role in the industry was Sr. Scientist at Cadbury Beverages from 1989-1995, where they were responsible for all aspects of product development from concept to commercialization.
Robert Gale obtained their Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Technology from the University of Rhode Island. Robert then went on to receive their Master of Science in Finance from Northeastern University. In 2014, they obtained their CFS certification from the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT).
