Piri Welcsh has extensive work experience in the field of education and research. From 1996 to 2017, Welcsh worked as a Post Doctoral Fellow and Research Assistant Professor at the University of Washington. In 2017, Welcsh joined FORCE: Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered as the Vice President of Education, a position that is currently ongoing.

Piri Welcsh pursued their education from 1985 to 1992 at The Ohio State University, where they obtained a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Genetics.
