Simon Wardle is an experienced project manager and sports development professional with a strong background in community sports initiatives and program management. Currently serving as Project Manager (Programmes) at the Football Foundation since May 2022, Simon previously held various roles at Sunderland City Council, including Sport and Physical Activity Development Officer, where responsibilities included overseeing the Sunderland Parklife Football Hub Project and the Sport England community sport activation fund project aimed at engaging youth participants. Earlier in their career, Simon contributed as Sports Development Officer and Community Sports Coach at Stockton Borough Council, focusing on increasing sports participation and delivering coaching programs for children.
