Robert Higginbotham is currently the SVP of Investor Relations at Foot Locker. Prior to joining the company, they were a Consumer Strategist at Guidepoint from January 2020 to January 2022. Before that, they were a Senior Analyst/co-Portfolio Manager at BTG Pactual from August 2015 to October 2018. Their previous position was as a Senior Research Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey from June 2012 to July 2015.
Higginbotham has extensive experience in the consumer and retail industries. At Guidepoint, they led a research team covering Retail/Ecommerce, Apparel/Footwear, Fitness, and Automotive for the Insights group. Robert also developed and produced primary research (executive interviews and surveys) for institutional investors. At BTG Pactual, they co-managed a Consumer/TMT Equity portfolio as well as analyst coverage of Consumer Discretionary (Retail, Apparel/Footwear, Luxury, Auto, Lodging, Cruise, Leisure).
Their deep-dive fundamental, bottom-up approach to investing includes in-depth modeling of industries and companies, meetings and discussions with senior management and investor relations, multiple expert network discussions, development of differentiated thesis, and multiple iterations of presentations to local teams and the CIO.
Robert Higginbotham is currently attending NYU Stern School of Business for their Master of Business Administration (MBA). Prior to this, they completed their undergraduate studies at The University of Alabama where they majored in quantitative finance with minors in economics and mathematics. Robert also holds a certification from the CFA Institute as a CFA charterholder.
