Jakub Podlaha has worked in various roles since 2011. From 2011 to 2016, they worked at ALT s.r.o. as a Motion Technician and Programmer, and then as an Automation Developer. In 2016, they worked at Fragaria Ltd. as a Javascript Developer, and at Socialbakers as a Javascript Programmer. In 2014, they worked at ASSIST spol. s r.o. as a Java Programmer. In 2012, they worked at Texas Tech University Library as a Stacks - Student Assistant. Since 2017, they have been Co-Founder and CTO of Foodgroot, where they have been responsible for building the entire infrastructure, including Mongo, Node. js, GraphQL, React Native, and Ansible.

Jakub Podlaha obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Software Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the Czech Technical University in Prague between 2007 and 2011. Jakub then completed an Engineer's Degree in Artificial Intelligence at the same university between 2011 and 2015. In 2012, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Science from Texas Tech University. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Software as a Service from edX in July 2013 and a certification in Artificial Intelligence from edX in September 2012.
