Shamit Khemka is an experienced entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience in the technology industry. Shamit began their career in 1994 as the Proprietor of Pharos Infotech, where they implemented the first BBS in India with Email services before the advent of VSNL internet services. Shamit was deeply involved in Web Services, Internet Presence (IPP), Extranets & Voice over Data Networks (VOIP) as well as Technology Consulting for eastern India. In 2000, they launched their second entrepreneurial venture called Sampatti.com and in 1999, they founded SynapseIndia, which provides software development and Custom Web/Mobile Applications. In 2013, they became a Partner of foodcloud.in, and in 2016, they became a Member of YPO. Shamit has also been a Member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization since 2006.

Shamit Khemka attended The Scindia School from 1985 to 1992. Shamit then attended St. Xavier's College from 1990 to 1992, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance & Economics.
