Marianna Giotta has extensive work experience in the regulatory affairs and project management fields. Marianna is currently the Customer Success Director at FoodChain ID, where they manage customer relations and ensures their success in the EMEA and Asia regions. Prior to this, they worked at Decernis - A FoodChain ID Company, initially as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist for the Middle East, where they established relationships with governmental agencies and conducted research on regulations. Marianna later became the Director of the Project Management Office and Customer Relations, overseeing project delivery and customized regulatory compliance services. During their time at Decernis, they also held the position of Regulatory Affairs Special Projects Sr. Manager, where they provided expert support for global consulting services and projects. Marianna also has experience working at the Embassy of Italy in Beirut as a Media and Political Officer.

Marianna Giotta has a diverse education history. Marianna first enrolled in the International Food Law Distance Education Program at Michigan State University during the Spring semester of 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Master's Degree in Euro-Mediterranean Affairs (MAEM-MEMA) from Universitat Pompeu Fabra, specializing in Affari e relazioni internazionali, which they completed between 2006 and 2007. From 2007 to 2009, Marianna pursued another Master's Degree, this time in Languages, History, and Cultures of Islamic and Mediterranean Countries, at the Università di Napoli L'Orientale. Before their Master's studies, they also earned a Bachelor's Degree in the same field from the same university, which they completed between 2001 and 2005.

In addition to their formal education, Marianna also obtained several certifications. In 2018, they became a Food Labelling Expert in EU Regulation 1169/2011 from the Istituto Italiano Imballaggio. In 2017, they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Furthermore, in 2008, Marianna had their Operations Officer certification in External Relations and Foreign Affairs from the European Commission through EPSO/CAST/RELEX/3/08.
