Eric Weltman has extensive experience in advocacy and organizing, serving as Senior Organizer at Food & Water Watch since November 2010. Prior to this role, Eric was the NYC Advocacy Director at Alliance for Quality Education, where responsibilities included supervising staff and managing communications. Significant accomplishments include coordinating citywide coalitions to achieve increased public funding and prevent education cuts. Eric's previous experience also includes Deputy Director of Advocacy & Policy at the Massachusetts Public Health Association, where Eric led successful campaigns on environmental health and public health funding. Earlier roles include Organizing Director at Citizens for Participation in Political Action, where Eric played a key role in electoral activities and legislative advocacy. Eric holds an M.A. in Urban & Environmental Policy from Tufts University and a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Michigan.
