Kenzie Wade is a dedicated professional in the field of Cultural Anthropology, currently serving as a Senior Fellow and Events Coordinator at Food Tank since 2022. As a PhD candidate and educator at UC Santa Barbara, Kenzie has taught various courses related to anthropology and has extensively participated in teaching and outreach initiatives. Kenzie leads The IV Ethnobotany Project, which promotes ecological knowledge and local edible plant education, and has coordinated speaker series for major festivals such as Coachella and Desert Daze. Kenzie's experiences also include events coordination for The Future of Food at SXSW and previous marketing fellowship at The Foodbank of Santa Barbara County. With an academic background that includes a Master’s Degree from Durham University and a Bachelor’s Degree from Kansas State University, Kenzie is committed to fostering sustainable food systems and cultural heritage.
