Gerald Hutterer has over 20 years of work experience, starting in 1995 with Electronic Data Systems as a Delivery Manager until 2009. Gerald then joined Fonds Soziales Wien (FSW) in 2010 as a Data Analyst and Project Manager Surveys, later becoming the Head of Survey Management in November 2017.

Gerald Hutterer achieved a Master's degree in Social Sciences from the University of Vienna between the years 1986 to 1992.
