Alexis Theron is currently an Echo CoreLab member at Fondation IUCPQ, focusing on developing new approaches to improve the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of valvular heart diseases. Since August 2022, Alexis has been involved in the clinical trial PARTNER 2 – SAPIEN 3, which assesses the safety and efficacy of the SAPIEN 3 transcatheter aortic valve in 1500 patients with severe aortic stenosis and moderate to high surgical risk. Concurrently, since 2010, Alexis serves as a Cardiologist MD, PhD at APHM (Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Marseille), with an extensive educational background in medical genetics and functional genomics from Aix-Marseille University and INSERM, completing a PhD and possessing multiple degrees in cardiology and medical genetics.
