Karin Spaink is an accomplished journalist and editor with extensive experience in both print and digital media. Currently serving as Chef eindredactie at Follow the Money since May 2018, Spaink has held significant roles including long-standing political columnist at Het Parool from October 1992 to March 2022. Spaink contributed to the historical documentation of the public internet in the Netherlands through research and writing for XS4ALL Internet BV from July 2005 to December 2021. Additionally, Spaink has held editorial positions at various publications such as Down to Earth magazine, OneWorld magazine, and RFG Magazine, which supports refugee journalists. As chair of the Big Brother Awards from August 2002 to December 2014, Spaink advocated for privacy rights. Spaink's educational background includes a teacher training program at Lerarenopleiding d'Witte Leli from 1975 to 1981.
