Maria Becher Trier has extensive experience in journalism and media management. Currently, Maria serves as a member of Pressenævnet since February 2020 and as the chairperson of the Organizational Group in the Danish Union of Journalists since February 2018. Maria has been contributing as a journalist for Folkeskolen since April 2001. Additionally, Maria was a member of the advisory board for journalism at Danmarks Medie- og Journalisthøjskole from September 2012 to September 2017 and held various roles in the Danish Union of Journalists from 2010 to 2017, including a member of the main board and the educational and employment policy committee. Earlier experience includes being a host and producer at DK4 and positions at Roskilde Dagblad and Politiken. Maria holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from Danmarks Journalisthøjskole and a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Copenhagen.
