Breanna Hammond started their professional journey as an Intern at Senator John Heinz History Center in 2017, where they assisted in creating educational programs about Indigenous tribes and presented educational material to the public. In the same year, they also interned at Women for a Healthy Environment, aiding in the creation of maps to identify areas of lead contamination and creating educational content for social media.

In 2016, Hammond worked as a Front Desk Agent at Holiday Inn Express until 2019. Breanna then joined Healthy Environments, LLC. as an Administrative Assistant from April to September 2019.

Hammond's next role was as a GIT Associate (LiDAR) at Michael Baker International from September 2019 to October 2021. Breanna worked on LiDAR projects during their time there.
