Mohammad Heidari is an experienced professional in operations and financial engineering with a strong background in indoor positioning systems and academia. Currently serving as an Operations Officer and Director of Financial Engineering at Smartleaf Asset Management since 2017, responsibilities include portfolio rebalancing and the development of optimization techniques and risk models. As a co-founder of Lighthouse Signal Systems, Mohammad plays a key role in the architectural and system design of an indoor location system deployed across 15,000 retail locations. Previous positions include Senior Systems Engineer and Systems Engineer at Skyhook Wireless, where research focused on crowdsourcing algorithms and hybrid positioning systems. Additionally, Mohammad has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, following a B.Sc. from Sharif University of Technology.
