Ongun Kurt's work experience includes holding the role of Principal Engineer at FocalPoint since January 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Roketsan as a Senior Lead Engineer/Head of System Design Team from August 2016 to November 2021. During their time at Roketsan, they also served as a Senior System Design and Test Engineer from May 2009 to August 2016 and as an Algorithm Development Engineer from April 2007 to May 2009. Before Roketsan, Ongun Kurt worked at MESA Software House as a Software Developer from January 2007 to April 2007 and at Simetri Software House as a Software Developer from November 2006 to January 2007.

Ongun Kurt obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering from Ankara University, graduating in 2006. In the same year, they also obtained a certification in Fundamentals of Java Programming from the Cisco Networking Academy.

Later, Ongun pursued higher education and completed their Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a focus on Control Option from Orta DoÄŸu Teknik Ãœniversitesi (Middle East Technical University) in 2011.
