Jerold Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Jerold started their career at the Community Health Accreditation Program, where they served as President and successfully increased market share and revenues. Jerold then transitioned to Caesar Cohen, Ltd., where they provided consulting services to various healthcare entities, achieving financial turnarounds and developing HIPAA and Compliance Plans. Jerold went on to work at Catholic Healthcare Partners as the Vice President of Chronic Care, overseeing and coordinating chronic care initiatives. Jerold later joined the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a Surveyor, conducting accreditation surveys and consulting on quality issues. Jerold also worked at UnitedHealth Group/Evercare as a Regional Health Services Director, supervising Nurse Practitioners and Care Managers. Additionally, they held roles at CareOne Management LLC as the Vice President of Home Care and at BE Smith as an Interim Leader. Most recently, Jerold served as a Certified Business Performance Coach at FocalPoint and as a Continuum Administrator at Kaiser Permanente.
Jerold Cohen has a diverse education history. Jerold obtained a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Executive Leadership degree from the University of San Francisco in 2020. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Arts degree in Nursing Service Administration from Teachers College, Columbia University between 1974 and 1976. In 1972, they completed a nursing degree (RN) at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Cohen began their educational journey with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Washington & Jefferson College, which they obtained between 1968 and 1972. Alongside their formal education, Cohen has also obtained additional certifications. In February 2019, they completed the "Project Management Foundations" certification from Lynda.com. Furthermore, in August 2020, they obtained the "Certified in Executive Nursing Practice (CENP)" certification from the American Organization for Nursing Leadership.
