Issie James is currently the Chief of Staff at Focal, overseeing Europe's leading startup demo day. Before this role, Issie has held positions such as Special Projects Lead and Founder Associate at Bocobay, where they were the first employee in the UK, and was part of the founding team at Embarc, an events-based community for future founders. Additionally, Issie was selected as part of the top 1% for the JS10 Cohort at Jumpstart, the UK's only startup graduate programme. Issie also has experience as a Transfer Pricing Associate at BDO UK LLP and as an Intern at EY. Issie holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and Spanish from the University of Leeds and completed A Levels in Psychology, Biology, and Spanish at Harrogate Ladies' College.
