Brian Haines has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Brian began their career in the US Navy, serving as an ET1 (ss) from May 1986 to October 1990. Following their military service, they worked as a Management Analyst at the University of Arizona from 1993 to 1997.
In 1997, Haines joined Bricsnet as the Director of Product Management. During their time there, they played a key role in developing and managing the strategic development of Bricsnet's line of Cloud-based software products for corporate real estate, facilities, and construction project management. Brian collaborated with various teams, including sales, marketing, and engineering, to create specifications, documentation, and conduct continuous competitive and market trend analysis. Haines remained with Bricsnet until March 2005.
Next, Haines joined Autodesk in March 2005 as an Industry Marketing Manager. In this role, they focused on developing and executing marketing programs for Autodesk's suite of products, with a particular emphasis on revenue and growth. Their responsibilities included product positioning, messaging, collateral creation, and go-to-market deliverables. Brian worked on the development of marketing materials like brochures, whitepapers, and product web centers to support the bi-yearly product release cycle. Haines was with Autodesk until October 2012.
From October 2012 to May 2016, Haines served as the Director of Marketing at FM:Systems. Brian was responsible for planning, implementing, and managing FM:Systems' marketing strategies, marketing technology, and marketing communications. Brian actively advocated for the benefits of marketing automation, dynamic content creation, and customer voice-driven marketing and sales programs.
Haines then progressed to the role of Vice President of Marketing at FM:Systems from May 2016 to March 2021. In this position, they continued to lead the planning, development, coordination, and execution of FM:Systems' marketing strategies and activities, including marketing technology and communications. Brian also oversaw all lead development efforts and promoted the importance of marketing automation, dynamic content creation, and customer voice-driven marketing and sales programs.
Currently, Brian Haines holds the position of Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at FM:Systems, starting in March 2021. As the CSO, they are responsible for defining and communicating FM:Systems' corporate strategy. Brian aligns key organizational assets with emerging trends and market demand to accelerate performance and provide key insights to the management team regarding the future of the industry and evolving market and customer needs.
Brian Haines pursued an MBA from the University of New Hampshire from 2011 to 2012. Prior to that, from 1992 to 1997, they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Arizona, specializing in Architecture.
