Overview

FMI’s Strategy Practice is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Analyst to join its growing Private Equity Services team. FMI's Private Equity Services team supports investment decisions by conducting thorough commercial due diligence to validate and vet target companies. Our team of skilled strategy consultants conducts in-depth research and analysis of market trends, industry dynamics, financials, and competitive landscape to provide data-driven insights. Our comprehensive and professional approach helps clients make informed investment decisions in the dynamic private equity market.

This is a hybrid, full-time opportunity that will be based out of our corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough market research to gather and analyze data on industry trends, competitive landscapes, customer behavior, and other relevant market dynamics to inform commercial due diligence projects.

  • Utilize a variety of research methods, including primary and secondary research, data analysis, and financial modeling, to assess market opportunities and risks.

  • Collaborate with senior team members to develop research methodologies, data collection plans, and analytical frameworks for each project.

  • Analyze and synthesize complex data and information into clear and concise reports and presentations for clients, including findings, recommendations, and actionable insights.

  • Stay up to date with industry trends, market dynamics, and best practices in strategy consulting and private equity to continuously enhance your expertise and contribute to the team's success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or related field. Advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • 1+ years of experience in strategy consulting, private equity, investment banking, or related fields, with a proven track record of conducting market research and providing data-driven insights.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, listening, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
