Seva Rostovtsev is an accomplished chemist with extensive experience in both the agricultural and chemical industries. Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at FMC Corporation since November 2017, Seva leads the Discovery Chemistry organization, successfully adding two development molecules to the company pipeline. Prior to FMC, Seva held multiple roles at DuPont from March 2003 to October 2017, including Technical Manager for Fungicide Discovery Chemistry and Process Chemistry and Engineering, where significant advancements were made in the development of fungicides and emerging technologies. Notably, during the tenure at The Scripps Research Institute, Seva contributed to the invention of Copper-catalyzed Click Chemistry, a breakthrough recognized with a Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2022. Seva earned a PhD in Chemistry from Caltech and has a robust academic background that includes a Master’s degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Chemical College.
