Erin Maher, PhD, currently serves as a Sr. Medical Writer at Flywheel Partners, a role undertaken since April 2023. Prior to this position, Erin held a Postdoctoral Scholar position at the University of Kentucky from September 2020 to September 2022, where research focused on the neural mechanisms of substance use disorder, resulting in publications in Neuropharmacology and the Journal of Neuroinflammation. From July 2014 to May 2020, Erin was a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Virginia, leading projects on synaptic circuitry in various states, including Alzheimer's disease, and contributing to publications in the Journal of Neuroscience, Cerebral Cortex, and the Journal of Comparative Neurology. Erin earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Neuroscience and a Master of Arts (MA) in Neuroscience from the University of Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from Elon University.
