Tomoko Katie Kamimoto has a diverse work experience. Tomoko Katie began their career in 2010 as an employee for Bon Appétit Management Company. In 2014, they became an Assistant Language Teacher for Japan Exchange and Teaching Program(me) (JET). In 2017, they joined FoodCorps as a Service Member, where they were responsible for managing and supervising three school gardens, grant writing, community outreach, lesson planning, and teaching garden-based lessons. In 2019, they became a Brand Ambassador for Flying Embers Hard Kombucha.
Tomoko Katie Kamimoto attended Soka University of America from 2010 to 2014, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Concentrating in Social Behavioral Science. In July 2015, they obtained a Level N2 Japanese Language Proficiency Test from the Japan Foundation and Japan Educational Exchange Services. In June 2008, they obtained a 2nd Degree Black Belt Martial Arts- Kendo from the All US Kendo Federation. Tomoko Katie also holds a 120 hour International TEFL and TESOL Training Certification from Fort Hays State University.
