Arnaud Garnier began their career at senseFly in 2013 as an Intern. In 2014, they joined Flyability as VP Project Management and Lead Mechanical Engineer. In their role as Lead Mechanical Engineer, they were responsible for leading the mechanical and system integration of Elios 1, its first B2C product. Arnaud went through the many challenges of drone design for harsh environments, learning and working on tight mechanical integration, system architecture, motors, battery, propellers dimensioning and validation, as well as manufacturing methods and industrialization. Arnaud also participated in the scaling up of the engineering team from 2 people to 15. In 2017, they became Project Manager for Elios 2 development, responsible for leading the development of different products at Flyability, from ideation to stable production. Arnaud'smain activities included budgeting, planning, risk analysis, facilitation and communication, crisis management, and system engineering. In 2020, they were appointed Supply Chain Director.
Arnaud Garnier obtained their Bachelor's and Master's degree in Microengineering from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) between 2009 and 2013. Arnaud also spent an academic exchange year at Technishe Universität Berlin from 2011 to 2012. In 2014, they completed a Master's project at Imperial College London.
