Aditya Narayan

Research And Development Engineer at FluxTeq

Aditya Narayan has worked in a variety of engineering roles since 2011. In 2011, they were a Summer Intern at International Center for Automotive Technology, where they designed and conducted structural analysis on rubber bush to be used as an automobile component, and tested it on a hydraulic and pneumatic fatigue tester. In 2012, they were a Summer Intern at Tata Steel. In 2013, they were a Graduate Engineering Trainee at Reliance Industries Limited, where they improved equipment reliability by carrying out predictive and preventive maintenance and ensuring conformity to industrial codes (ASME/API) and standards, and completed Six Sigma Yellow Belt training. Aditya was also an Intern at ICAT, Manesar, where they studied the effect of variation in ambient air conditions on engine performance and emissions. In 2014, they were a Project Associate at Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where they developed a heat pipe based passive thermal and vibration management platform for electronics of a satellite. Aditya designed, manufactured and tested a flexible heat pipe. In 2015, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, where they designed, manufactured and tested a water purification unit based on Air Gap Membrane Distillation. Finally, in 2018, they were a Research and Development Engineer at FluxTeq, where they developed a thermal device for non-intrusive measurement of thermal and flow properties of fluid flowing through a pipe, and was involved in manufacturing and calibration of heat flux sensors, thermocouples and data acquisition systems.

Aditya Narayan obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from Manipal Institute of Technology between 2009 and 2013. Aditya then went on to obtain a Master of Science (M.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech between 2015 and 2017. Aditya also holds a Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification from Reliance Industries Limited.
