Asim R. Bhalerao has extensive work experience in various fields, including CEO of Fluid Robotics since 2016, Research Advisor in Environmental Surveillance and WBE at Pune Knowledge Cluster since 2022, and Mentor at FIRST since 2020. Asim R. also has a background in Engineering and Management of Surgical Robotics at Intuitive Surgical from 2008 to 2016. Prior to that, they worked as an Embedded Systems Engineer in Farm Automation at Service Machines Inc. (2007-2008). Asim R. also gained experience in Hardware Engineering for Drones at AeroVironment (2006-2007). Asim has also held the position of Hardware Lead in the Submarine Robotics division at USCR/iLab Robotics Lab, where they were responsible for the hardware design of an autonomous submarine for underwater mapping (2005-2006). Asim R. had internships at BARC, working on Manipulator Robotics (2004-2005), and at Vega Controls Pvt. Ltd., working on Film Platter Automation (2004-2005). Asim's experience also includes being a Visiting Student at Tata Institute of Fundamental Research in the Solid State Physics Department (2005).

Asim R. Bhalerao holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science - Intelligent Robotics from the University of Southern California. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering - Design from Santa Clara University. Asim also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Electronics Engineering from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
