Ivan Boldyrev has been working in software engineering since 2000. From 2000 to 2013, they were a Leading Software Engineer at the Institute of Geology and Mineralogy of SB RAS. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Python and JavaScript developer at BARS Group, developing a web application for accountants. From 2014 to 2020, they were a Python and C++ Developer at Yandex, working on a large data processing pipeline. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Lead Software Engineer at SEMrush, where they maintained the scheduler component that determined when and how often each page had to be crawled, subject to various constraints. As a result, the index size surpassed the planned target by almost 50%. Currently, Ivan is a Senior Rust Developer at Fluence Labs.

Ivan Boldyrev obtained a BS in Computer Science and Applied Mathematics from Novosibirsk State University (NSU) between 1998 and 2002. In 2018, they completed Basic Development with C++: White Belt from Coursera in September, Basic Development with C++: Yellow Belt from Coursera in November, and Basic Development with C++: Red Belt from Coursera in February 2019.
