Matthew Pilling is an accomplished Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in the energy, aviation, and construction sectors. Currently with Fluence as the Senior Project Manager EMEA since October 2022, Matthew oversees battery energy storage facilities that enhance transmission network stability. Previously, Matthew held the position of Senior Construction Manager at MAG (Airports Group), managing sustainable infrastructure projects for major international airports. Notable past roles include UK EPC Construction Manager at Younicos, where Matthew managed the construction of Europe's largest battery energy storage facility, and Senior Construction Manager on significant projects such as the Walney offshore wind farm and a 20 million football stadium for FC United in Manchester. Matthew's career also includes project management for wastewater treatment upgrades and quality assurance roles in educational construction projects. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng Hons) in Civil Engineering from The University of Bolton.
