Bruce Butler, P.E. has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. From 2013 to present, they have worked at Flowserve Corporation, starting as a Senior R&D Engineer and then progressing to become an R&D Engineering Specialist. Currently, they hold the position of R&D Engineer, Principal, where they focus on designing next-generation flow control hardware using traditional and innovative methods. Prior to their time at Flowserve Corporation, Bruce worked as a Mechanical Engineer at National Oilwell Varco from 2011 to 2013. There, they conducted root cause analysis and performed design and performance analysis using software tools. Earlier in their career, Bruce was a Research Engineer at Materials and Systems Research, Inc. from 2004 to 2011, where they worked on various research projects related to solid oxide fuel cells, electrolyzers, and ceramic materials development.
Bruce Butler, P.E. holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah, which they obtained between 2007 and 2010. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university, completing it between 2001 and 2004. Additionally, Bruce has obtained a certification as a Professional Engineer from the State of Utah in 2016.
