Javier F. is a highly experienced research scientist currently serving as the Lead Research Scientist at Flower Labs since June 2023. Previously, Javier held the position of Research Scientist at Samsung Electronics from July 2021 to May 2023, and has been a Visiting Researcher and PhD Student at the University of Cambridge since September 2020. Javier earned a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Oxford, where the thesis focused on high-performance deep learning on resource-constrained platforms, advised by Prof Nicholas Lane. Additional experience includes roles as a Machine Learning Research intern at Arm, a Computer Vision Engineer at Holition, and a Software Engineer at Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd, among others. Academic credentials include a Master’s in Computer Vision from Queen Mary University of London and a Bachelor's in Telecommunications System Engineering from the University of Navarra.
