Bill Morton has a long history of successful work experience in the software industry. Bill began their career in 1986 as Vice President of Customer Services at Informix Software, where they managed Professional Services, Customer Support, and Quality Assurance organizations of 80 people during a period of rapid growth. Bill expanded the staff by 300% over a 3+ year period, built Services, Support and QA infrastructures, and exceeded financial bookings and billings targets every year. In 1990, they moved to ViewStar Corporation as Vice President of Systems and Services, where they managed a Professional Services and Customer Support organization of 35 people. Most consulting projects were greater than $250,000 and all projects were successful. In 1992, they joined Vantive/PeopleSoft as Vice President of CRM Consulting, where they built the CRM consulting organization from 1 person to 350 people worldwide. The organization delivered more than 1500 successful CRM projects, ranging from $10K to $3M in services revenue, and managed growth of Professional Services revenues from $0 to $85 million annual revenue run rate. In 2004, they became Vice President of Professional Services at Dorado, where they managed a Professional Services and Customer Support organization of 75 people. Most consulting projects were greater than $400,000, and they improved consultant billability from less than 60% to greater than 80%, with heavy involvement in recruiting, P&L management, pre-sales, project delivery, and customer relationship management. In 2005, they moved to Nextance as Vice President of Professional Services, where they managed a Professional Services and Customer Support organization of 40 people. Most consulting projects were greater than $300,000 and they improved consultant billability from less than 50% to greater than 85%, expanding staff by 50%. In 2007, they joined Acesis Inc. as Vice President of Services, where they managed all services operations and participated in a wide range of startup company activities including product engineering, sales and presales, fund raising, human resources management, legal, etc. Bill also managed all customer relationships, implementation services, training, support. Currently, they are the VP Services at Flow Immersive, building implementation, training, and support services for Flow Immersive, an innovative provider of data story telling and visualization software. Theirprimary focus is on enterprise customers and development of a robust partner network.
Bill Morton received their BSEE in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, followed by an MSEE in Electrical Engineering from the same institution. Bill then completed their MBA from Harvard Business School, with a General MBA Curriculum.
