Tihda Vongkoth is an accomplished percussionist and music educator with extensive experience in the orchestral field. Currently serving as President of Local 427-721 at the American Federation of Musicians of the US & Canada since January 2023, Tihda is also a co-founder of Modern Marimba. Performance credits include roles as Extra Percussionist with The Florida Orchestra and Sarasota Orchestra, along with positions as Percussionist at St. Pete Opera and Opera Tampa. Tihda's educational background includes a Master of Music in Percussion Performance from Temple University, a Bachelor of Music from Southern Methodist University, and a prestigious diploma from the Interlochen Center for the Arts.
