Doug Smith has extensive work experience in information technology and management roles. Doug was recruited and appointed as the Chief Information Officer for the Florida Office of the Attorney General in 2015. In this role, they provided strategic vision and operational modernization of the Information Technology assets for various departments within the office. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Information Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections from 2010 to 2015, where they provided technology support for correctional institutions and administrative offices throughout the state. From 2000 to 2010, they served as the CTO and Chief of Staff for the 2nd Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, where they modernized and streamlined technology for the court and served as the ADA coordinator and spokesperson for the circuit.
