Leonesse Shaffer is an actuarial analyst at the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation, where duties include work as an actuarial intern within the Property and Casualty Project Review unit since December 2019. Leonesse gained valuable experience through educational pursuits at Florida State University, earning a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science in 2019 and previously an associate's degree in Business Administration and Actuarial Science from Hillsborough Community College. Notable experiences include job shadowing at New York Life Insurance Company, participation as a finalist in the Humana Actuarial Case Competition, and serving as an editorial producer for the Historic Hernando Preservation Society, where skills in data analysis and documentary production were developed.
