Derek Wicker is an experienced facilities management professional currently serving as the Facilities Manager at Florida Eye Specialists since February 2023. Prior to this role, Derek worked at Curahealth Hospitals as a Plant Operations Engineer from October 2019 to February 2023. Derek's extensive background in plant operations includes positions at UF Health Jacksonville, where duties included Plant Operations Supervisor and Plant Operator between May 2013 and October 2019. Derek began a career in operations as an Engineman in the US Navy from July 1990 to September 2010.
